Now the big festivities are over for another year, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy some downtime before the new year kicks off. I love this pause time between Christmas and New Year, often referred to as Twixmas, to reflect, head out on long walks in the winter sunshine and indulge in all the leftovers from hosting, it has to be done!
If you’re hosting New Year’s Eve or have drinks with friends and family planned in, let me share a simple way I add an extra special touch to them. There are some great alternatives to champagne or prosecco for the designated drivers or tee-totallers. My favourite brand is Noughty and a slightly less expensive version is “Nosecco” which you can get from most supermarkets. Served in a nice chunky tumbler with one of my festive ice cubes and a splash of grenadine it’s an Instagram moment!
